                              First Grade Supply List

                                                 2008-2009

Welcome to an exciting new year in first grade.  This is my budget-conscious supply list.  If an item has an * and a price in parentheses after it, and you cannot find it at that low price, then don’t worry about buying it.  We will have plenty on hand for everyone.

* 1 24-pack Crayola crayons (20 cents)

*10-pack Crayola markers (both sizes)  (88 cents each, I think)

*pack of pencil-cap erasers (less than $1)

1 pack multi-colored construction paper

1 spiral bound Crayola sketchbook

Larger pink rectangular erasers

2 bottles liquid hand soap

2 boxes facial tissues

Glue sticks

1 regular clipboard (not the kind that has inside storage)

Extra change of clothes enclosed in ziplock bag

Old shirt to wear for art and painting projects

Extra “inside” slippers or sandals

Plain t-shirt to decorate (does not have to be new – can be a little big)

1 refillable water bottle

Paper plates OR disposable drinking cups

OPTIONAL ITEMS IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE 1 OR MORE

Package of cardstock- 81/2 by 11 (white or colors)

Colored file folders

Heavy-duty ziplock bags – gallon or quart-size

Low-odor dry-erase markers

Fine tip permanent markers (multi-colored)

Multi-colored highlighters

Any puppets you might want to recycle from home

Inexpensive calculator

Throughout the year if you would occasionally like to send graham crackers or pretzels or some simple snack for students who need one, it would be appreciated.

I prefer to purchase pencils, paper, journals, etc. at lower prices through school catalogs.  If possible, please donate $5 to $10 for these items.

THANKS!   Looking forward to seeing everyone in August!
