Students will be reading excerpts from stories that inspired films, drawing story boards, sketching film stills, discussing symbolism, and learning to understand the visual elements that play into a film. Students will also identify composers, styles and genres of music, and the integral part music plays in the cinema. All of these elements will be tied together in writing reflections about each film. Due to the nature of the class and the goals of the instructors, this class is open only to 7th and 8th grade students.
